I don't mind Mondays

After a long and quiet night in our penthouse suite (it's really not as flash as I am portraying it, but it is quite large and better than the lower floors) we woke up ~8.
We cruised down for breakfast and tried something different for a change.
For me it was NOT eating way too much crispy bacon.
I chose to eat fruit and local rice "stuff" washed down with lots and lots of Vietnamese coffee.
Tiz had been eyeing off the banana pancakes and this morning was the day it would entice her to actually have breakfast.
All charged up on our fruit(y) breakfast we headed off into town.

I have most of my clothes out to launder so I had to wear my jeans and long sleeve shirt.
I thought I might head off to a place that sold "Happy Buddha" size shorts and see what they could do for me.
When we got there there they had quite a few  shorts that I liked and was prepared to buy.
So, first thing first " How much do you want for these shorts?" I asked.
"550,000 (AU$35)" she replied.
"F@rl< me!" I thought to myself, and walked out as she called out "How much you want to pay?" repeatedly.
I am so over this whole bargaining "thing". Yes, I know it's a cultural thing but to me it's bullsh!t and I'll not encourage it by playing this silly game unless it's absolutely necessary.
I didn't absolutely need the shorts, so no playing "The Bullsh!t Bargaining Game" today.

I had some shirts I had wanted made so it was off the A Dong Silk, where I had been many times before and knew that I would get great value, well made clothes without the silly song and dance routine required to buy a t-shirt or shorts of most anything else to wear.

They measured me up, and Tiz for a blazer, we selected the style, cloth and colours at 2pm and we returned at 8pm for a fitting.
There is always a little tucking and tweaking involved so the fitting, even for something as simple as a shirt, is a good thing.

With that out of the way we headed off to Morning Glory Restaurant
This place is what the Cargo Club was a long time ago, good.
You need to book ahead as it is very busy and that's exactly what Georgia did, thankfully.
Even though we got there on time we still had to wait 15 minutes to get a table but it was fun watching the hustle and bustle and the young people that were experiencing new dishes and ways to eat.

Crispy pork belly with red rice and bean sprout pickle, for me, predictably

Crispy tofu, for us

Morning Glory. One serve for Georgia and one for all to share.

Spicy clams for Georgia

Some simple wonton noodle soup for Tiz's still delicate stomach

Like I said in an earlier post, The Cargo Club do have excellent desserts so we crossed the road and had a chocolate mousse ->

And with our belly's full of Hoi Ans goodness we head off to the hotel and then to bed.
